I've added a new Entity namely HMAS Rankin SS78 which was the last Collins Class sub launched 07 November 2001 and commissioned on 29 March 2003. Make sure that you add the new entity via DWEdit as all missions have the Rankin as the starting sub.
Can you make version without messing in database? Its very important to players in regular Friday/Saturday MP battles

What do you mean by messing with the database? If it is an issue I will delete the download.

Negative you have a choice which platform you wanna use.

It appears this upload is an issue so it has been removed.
My apologies all. One should keep these files personally as it appears to create friction with the original modders. For your future update I suggest you add the 6th Collins Class sub to your database namely the Rankin SSG 78. Also note that The Collins class is a SSG not a SS or SSK submarine.

Not exactly. This is how it looks without changing database:

In MP lobby you recive info: "Database is different than host files" - or something like that.
It means - player who join MP session have errors or not the same version of game
(for example host uses RA 1.46 but player have RA 1.42)
All database differences have major impact on game stability - not only for player with differend version.
Literally: it makes many bugs in session and players disconnections

In "your" mission nobody cares which "Collins" (Collins, Farncomb, Waller, Dechaineux, Sheean or Rankin) is drivable. Making mission unplayable only because you want to be Capitain of SSG 78 is little ridiculous.

BTW it's not "your" missions. You just put Collins class instead LA and made some corrections in briefings. Much easier was to add "playes has choice" attribute to playable platform.

Mission has been deleted. Do what you wish with it. Fix up DWX than I wouldn't have had to add the Rankin. I request this post to be closed.

Hey, don't be angry on me. I just believe, you didn't know about MP problems. Most MP sessions starts are delayed even 1 hour because some of players has "different database". Mostly they just forgot to apply patch. But sometimes nobody knows why database is different. Many players use different "interface" like red background or russian descriptions on stations. It's more safe than different database - which can broke game for many players.

So i want to prevent every possible errors before game - because i am usually host for players from half of the World. I'm not happy when game crashed because really big battles are announced 1-2 weeks before game - it needs huge preparations for many players (not only software but sometimes preparations in real life like hiring babysitter for child)
I hope you will understand my point of view.

The only reason you don't see player-choice platform is the fact that it is set-up with Rankin start. Changing the starting sub in the mission files will solve the issue.

Also I didn't think the missions were for MP as the original 688H/K and training missions give you no choice whatsoever what platform you could command. Only the 688i. SSN 751.

To finish this heated debate off, I apologise for the abrupt responses but do consider how you respond yourself.

I know and this is what i did. Problem: you cannot do this via mission editor because game show you "empty" object and all binded triggers and briefing will be beleted. So its not easy for someone who use only mission editor instead text editor.

Doesn't matter missions are for MP or not. Only database should be exactly the same for all players.

Sorry i don't understand you.

BTW i will ask Crazy Ivan for adding Rankin SSG 78 into database. Next version of RA should be released soon

Strange because missions were public for free using, without additional licence requests.
Btw unlike you, I wrote who is the author :P

And you gave me permission:

One guy unpolitely mocks content makers for not delivering a perfect download or because it is from 688 (who the heck cares?) and who also does a neat job in scaring anyone away from the DW and RA mod threads and the other guy dramatically overreacts while screaming "lock this thread!" as if nuclear missile codes where released here.

And you know who suffers the most... The small dw community here. I really hope new and old who will see this here won´t start think twice and thrice before doing missions or mods for the best modern marine sim around. Everyone be sure that we´re happy for every addition you may provide and we do not require 100% perfection. Some of us however should re-learn to show some respect and at least show some appreciation for the free work of others no matter of the perceived quality, not just happily take and download without taking any second to say thanks. This way also the negative, detterent posts stand out and you can bet that these makers and many others learning from this role-model never will return to improve or make more.

Decades ago things were different in the naval modding scene, not so much "take!, take!, take!" folks around. I know this isn´t social studies class here but this culture sickens me and incidents like this here urged me to write it down somewhere in the infinite space of internet.

You're right, techsub. It really only take a little effort to be civil and helpful but some people just can't manage that. I appreciate when people try to help each other.

Can we try to smooth this out guys? It would be beneficial to all of us.

You don't understand. Download was ok, and nobody cares is this missions are from 688 H/K or SC. But someone did great job making this missions available for playing under DW+RA and they were described as "missions from 688 HK". So i think its "not polite" to change name of mission file and playable platform and call it "its my new missions" because it misleads players.

I was only one who did test of these missions because nobody (even pseudo author) hadn't time or patience to change manualy wrong strings in txt edidor or mess with game database every time when you want to play Fearless version. It proved in my video from game - check post #4
Its very easy to accuse someone without even little research.

Guy made mission pack only for himself without any word about it's in fact little moddified someone else work and you suggest me it was great work for DW community? In my opinion it's not only useles but also unfair for real missions designer and modder.
I hope next time these kind of "mission designers" will think twice about releasing broken, useless and violating intellectual property and good manners stuff.
Thinking they doing something usefull for DW community is very naive.

Active community mostly suffers from subsim DW politic. Nobody upload own missions here because subsim don't allow for something more than empty maps with some names and lines - without any task, ships, playable platforms etc.
I've tried few times but subsim always plays in cat and mouse (yyy said: it's not my role to upload, talk to xxx. Later and : its not my role to upload missions, talk with yyy and so on)
If you want to find new missions for DW subsim is not good place. Check redrodgers, Betasom, or one of discord channels.

I agree. Calling others "douche-hat" shows very low level of manners.
Can you say something about my manners?

Exactly! If you use someones work, you should write about it.
