No, thank god. There is a bit of art Kitsch, but this is somewhat necessary; often something we brought with us from holidays but usually it is also something functional..
I am right now moving stones from one place to another, to build a dry stone wall out of unworked stones, and it is no fun at almost 30 degrees

Don't have a partner. Don't have a garden. I don't have a lot of junk either, but that last should probably be qualified by how you define "junk".

Yeh, nothing wrong with the 30's, it's the 40's and above I don't like!!
My wife has a nice garden and where it gets a bit thick with plants she mows around them so I have no complaints!!

Our garden. lol

our entire family calls my house the "plant hospice"

its the place plants come die.

every spring my wife pours her soul into making the garden look as beautiful as can be, she weeds it, puts down new mulch and new decorations, plants lovely flowers.

within a week it is a wasteland... she isnt known for her green thumb lol

seriously she will call us into the room "You guys come look at my lovely new plant!"

me and the kids will almost simultaneously respond with "Poor thing." - "it has no idea what fate awaits it." - "i'll see that it gets a proper burial." - "do you have a list of its next of kin?"

on more than one occasion i have suggested pulling all the weeds, tilling the soil up with a few cans of salt, laying down pine needles throughout, and topping it off with gravel and a few nice ornamental things... she hasnt taken me up on it though yet

My wife bought one of those garden gnomes once. I was using the weed whacker one day when I got a little too close and took his face right off.

That was years ago, but of course I still hear about it every now and then.

Haha! My wife is also quite the plant assassin. Try getting her a "Pothos". It's nearly impossible to kill. I know. My wife has tried ... and failed.

That's really funny, guys, because my wife also brings all these plants home... along with big fancy glazed pots to put them in... then she plants them and forgets all about them. If I don't water them they die... so most of them die.

I will often come across a fancy pot out there with a dead twig in it, and to the twig is attached a price ticket (she never bothers to take these off) and a label with a picture of a beautiful plant on it.
