Hi Markus, I am running an old AMD Radeon HD 6850 card on my XP and can play ETS2 full graphics with a Logitech G27 wheel and the game runs smoothly, and graphics set to max. You should have no problems, if you're running Windows 10 that might be the cause.

That could very well be the truth.
In the beginning I had no problems with my computer...not before I got the new WIN 10 Creator-thing installed. Since then I have had several of these blue screen of death. It is first time I experienced it while trying to start a game and after have played it. Markus |

I guess I put some none related information in my writing.
The main issue in this thread was that I get Blue screen of death before and after I have played Farming Simulator Platinum Edition 2017. With following message Thread stuck in device driver. Markus |

Here's some more information for those who may be interested.
The first day or two after I have had those Blue Screen of Death my computer shut it self down at start-up. It does this only one time, when clicking on the on/off button the computer works fine. Markus |

Sounds like either a Windows 10 issue or a driver issue for a hardware component.
When it is W10, well, good luck then. I have a W10 machine since November last years, and in that time have seen more blue screens than in all my years with XP and W7 together. Its a - expensive - mess. This month patches are a terrible mess, too, all of them are porked, which seems to be the new norm with Microsoft these days. Many, if not all of their patches for MS software are porked as well. Sorry, I cannot help, mapuc, I have given up on W10 myself. Do other games/programs run fine? Is it W10 on your side? I do not know Radeon gfx cards. But R5 sounds like the label for a laptop/notebook card?

Well ain't that the truth
Almost every time I got an update from Microsoft I suffer about 2-3 Blue Screen of Death each day for about 1-3 days after and automatic shut-down at start-up the computer. I have been thinking and remembered someone told me game installed in x86 program files is not good and it is there my game have been installed into. Going to uninstall the game - restart the computer Create an folder in C. I going to name it Farming. Do a fresh install of the game and change it to where it shall be installed- C: Farming. Hope this will help. Markus |

SUCCESS
It helped to change to where it have to be installed. Was a little nervous when I clicked on the icon…. The loading scene came directly and even after I had installed the important update to the game. Played for some minutes. Only negative is there is lag/game freeze I guess it have to do with my graphic and my cpu. My graphic is by the way not the R5 but the R7 m360 Edit: It was not my computer who was the problem, it was Program Files(x86) who was the problem End of Edit Markus Last edited by mapuc; 07-22-18 at 03:37 PM. |
