Goodbye Stormpowered

Just to let you know, days ago I purchased Jutland Pro and it works just fine on my side.

Has to be launched from within Stormpowered's NotSteam games list to work, launching from desktop icon seems to work half the time.

Hope that helps for any interested.

Just a short update. Still cant play Jutland. Havent heard from them since December 2017. Every couple of weeks I asked their support if they have any news regarding my problem. Zero response. I now cant even log in to support. Iam under the impression they blocked me out. My advice, dont waist your money for Stormpowered games.

bought the game 7 years ago and tried to get my license back but no chance to contact them, not even to register on the forum.

Edit: finally reached them, looks like they still alive.

They are still alive and I was able to reactive my license.

A little late to the party but maybe this trick will help those that can't get either Distant Guns or Jutland to start.

Go into the game folder and look at all the files and you should see a file called "Spalsh.exe". Now remove or better yet rename the splash.exe file to something like splash.bak. If you have both games, do this for each game.

Now see if it launches.

The issues is that the startup splash screen video seems to use some codec or format that not everyone has installed any longer on their computers. This workaround was discovered many years ago and seemed to help a lot of us out that played with newer versions of Windows installed.

Give it a try.

Just tried returning to Jutland and it tries to update from SES server but fails. Much of the StormPowered sites return errors when trying to load their pages, has SES closed completely?

Tried the renaming of splash.exe, but for me this didn't work.
