Default A Flight with 85 Plumbers Was Forced to Return to the Airport

The reason? Toilet problems. That's right a flight with 85 plumbers working for the Rørkjøp plumbing company where unable to fix the toilet trouble. I think the guys at whatever Norway's version of OSHA would of flipped out if they did it when the plane was still in the air!

It is rare that a flight with toilet troubles will cancel or return to the departure airport. unless the flight is longer than a couple of hours. then it becomes an issue.

the irony of the story is great though

I have worked as plumber, pipefitter and welder for over twenty years now and I don't have a clue how aeroplane toilet operates. Probably general operation is same but it is the little things which causes catastrophes...

So nobody on the plane ended up flushed with success.

If it was a typical group of plumbers, they probably had to go back to go back to the shop to get parts...all while on the clock...

That's not surprising, since the standard aircraft toilet is self-contained chemical or vacuum operated and has no plumbing at all. I doubt that even someone who works on aircraft toilets could repair one while in flight.

Would you want untrained people working on any system like this on an aircraft that carries passengers? Especially when the aircraft is flying???

Hell, I want the guy that vacuums the carpets to have an FAA certification.
