Indonesia raises Bali volcano alert to highest level, airport shut, thousands of tour

DENPASAR, Indonesia (Reuters) - Indonesia raised its warning for Bali’s Mount Agung volcano to the top level four alert on Monday, closed the holiday island’s airport and told residents near the summit to immediately evacuate, warning of the “imminent” risk of a larger eruption.

I wonder if volcanoes and earthquake awareness in the animal kingdom are the same?

No doubt about it! The night of the 5.6 Napa quake 12 years ago (not the 2014 one with the epicenter 10 miles south) the housecats were agitated just prior to the quake, suddenly in the master bedroom and running across the bed at 2 AM when normally they are are asleep on their heated cat cushions. The epicenter at Redwood and Drycreek roads was 500 yards NW from my home.....resulting in a new chimney, and it now seems the back exterior of the house will have to be restucco'd as severe rain into the framing around the bolted foundation was discovered during the current ongoing bath remodel.
