Uplay is killing me - please assist

Hi guys, long time member of this forum who drifted away after the initial release of SH5.
Saw some excellent videos of the work the modding community had done on the game and decided to return.
I have the disc. Installed on my W10 machine and as expected the vile Uplay Launcher started up but it will not let me progress. I have requested new password, nothing arrives. I setup new account, wont let me login. Reinstalled latest Uplay Manager, still cannot get past, keeps saying does not recognize or incorrect password. Any assistance would be welcome as I am desperate to go on patrol again. Thanks in advance.

Does the launcher give you an error? I had this problem once, but I don't recall what I did to fix it. Crazy Ubisoft

RESOLVED....What a nightmare Ubisoft are. It was a real saga involving re instillation, a new account, more emails and detective work.

Now to get the mods required.

Hi Mowgli
The problem you had is your CD key is locked into your login and password.
If you happen to forget one of those then you are in trouble.
Glad to see you eventually got sorted.

You are spot on, that was one of the problems but all good. I loved SH3 and was gutted with SH5 and "rage quit" in disgust but seeing the videos and the mods now makes me really excited.

Thank you Sir,

I have downloaded WOS and installed all OK thanks to the detailed instructions on what to do. Impressed by how much work as been done to get SH5 to what looks to be a great game. As I become more familiar with the controls and the game settings, I will work up to full reality but for now it is baby steps.
My favourite of all time though is SH3 and if SH5 is just half as good it will be great.

I had to call UBISOFT Customer support to reset my Uplay account as I used an old defunct Email from 15 years ago...

The tech got it fixed on the phone right away but crappy to have to do this to play a game that's so old it's probably not worth anyone's time to download illegally...
