Thanks gents, I've tried going into the files in MODs and some did have data and documents in there. I made sure the MOD was not double filed and only had data in it before installing with JSGME but I'm still seeing the same control room and conning tower with no 600 foot depth gauge when I'm selecting Balao class so I don't think the MODs are loading. I've even tried downloading them again.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Can you use the D key to "dive", and just watch and listen to see if the boat keeps going deeper? I did think though that the mod changed the gauge in the Control Room by the diving station...

try my GFO mod then go check the gauges in balao and gato subs

I have the 600 mod built into GFO its designed to fix all the little bugs and things in the game without changing the difficulty or AI

also be aware the install order of things is very critical because some mods change the same files but in different ways. a mod you installed may have reverted the gauges back to stock defaults while it was changing something else relating to the files for gauges or something

Thanks for the suggestion but it still doesn't work. Just to run you through what I do.
I have SHIV Uboat missions V1.5 loaded. JSGME loaded and I've used it successfully with SHIII. My MODs folder is on my desk top with all my MODs in it and they appear in the inactive section of JSGME.
Following you last suggestion I checked them all for data only and ensured they weren't in double folders. I thought that multiple MODs might be the problem so when I still couldn't get it to work I loaded TMO 2.5 only and it still won't give me a 600 foot depth gauge so it looks like it hasn't loaded the MOD.
Any other suggestions?

OK, here's the place ya need to be in TMO (this is actually FotRSU, but the same scene)

You will want to use that middle gauge.

Here's a closer view of that little middle gauge

Click about where you want to set your depth

... and here we are at our set depth...

Back "safe" on the surface

If you do not have that gauge like that, maybe a different background color, then something isn't correct in the mod.

Windows Explorer, select View, Details, Choose Details, click the box for "Date Modified" on. Then when you're hunting for files with the same name you can sort them according to date, that will give you an idea which are mods and which are original.

Thanks, I've seen the views on the MODs and I believe that there's a similar gauge by the helm in the conning tower. The problem is when I upload the MODs then open the game I don't see the new view control room or conning tower, I just see the old legacy views from basic stock SHIV so I don't think the MODs are loading. I don't know why because I've loaded lots of MODs before on SHIII and never had any problems.

well the MODS folder is supposed to be in the ubisoft/silent hunter 4 folder, NOT on the desktop, the jsgme MODS folder has to be in the game folder in order for jsgme to be able to install them.

place the downloaded jsgme.exe file in the sh4 game folder and then click to run it, it will install jsgme files there. now run jsgme and it also creates a MODS folder there.

now put your mods in the MODS folder inside the sh4 folder and now everything has been installed correctly. if you want, right click on the jsgme startup file (the big yellow "G") and send a shortcut to desktop for it so you can open to change mods around as you want to.

its really easy to tell if TMO is installed because the intro screens and options menu screens are different
