Because - you know what? Start to use your imagination yourself. BTW, genetic doping is said to be already done by the Chinese. You cannot identify it anymore. You have been with the police, I understood. But you should not trust the power of laws here. And laws - are man-made as well. One day they might be made by genetically latered super humans. Are you really feeling well with this, considering your son is just a subordinate naturally born? - Its pandora's box. And I doubt we are wise enough to handle the consequences, I just need to look around in the world. Genetic alteration on this level - is more dangerous than fooling around with hydrogene bombs. Kids should not try this at home. And we are in principle still driven by instincts and drives form the earliest stone age.

That is the problem, it's a Pandoras box and once it begins it will be very hard to stop it...however, I think that it is an inevitability, just the same as machine intelligence, and either which way you frame it, Homo Sapiens becomes out-dated.

In my opinion 'Homo sapiens' is misnormer and 'Homo idiota' would be much more descriptive. Our track record of destruction and horror is indeed impressive, but in my opinion it doesn't justify calling us "wise men."

I dunno, if you look at voting choices by age you might be surprised, but yeah, they'll make mistakes too, but maybe some will learn from our mistakes, if we give them the chance to.

The means does not justify the consequences. And it could very well be the beginning of the end. Man isn't always the smartest thing on this round piece of rock, and more than likely not the smartest thing in the whole Universe.

Maybe we can genetically alter ourselves to be able to digest the plastic we have put into the oceans. And maybe we could alter ourselves to no longer needing to breathe, so that we can reduce CO2 emissions.

yea, what I always tend to remind myself of when I hear people saying that earth is doomed anyway, cause of the sun which will eventually die, for example, is that by the time the sun actually dies humanity will more than likely have the power to build their own suns or simply refuel it just like when people say that we're going to have a superior race at some point in the future, because of manipulation of the genetic code but once that happens there will more than likely also exist measures to enhance the capabilities of those which were not genetically enhanced.

I mean, we do not know anyway but I like to remind myself that there's always measures and countermeasures.

They could alter the human mind, remove the individual, accept hive mentality, increase stamina towork longer more productive hours, with minimal need for the intake of food and shelter. All in the name of a world without borders and peace.
