Malaula! The Battle Cry of Jasta 17, by Julius Buckler and Norman Franks.
First-hand account of a lesser-known German ace, with references by a dedicated aviation historian.

Guns At Sea, by Peter Padfield. I read this many years ago, and have always wanted a copy. It contains a very thorough history of naval gunnery, from the first shipboard cannons to the development of modern fire control in World War Two.
