I thought I saw something about this, now it's confirmed. I agree with Mike Abberton. I hope it focuses on the event itself and honor the soldiers.

saw the trailer, looks very nice.
Christopher Nolan has made some very good movies, more importantly, he makes very profitable movies and finishes them under budget. Let's face it, that is the only reason WB is financing a WW2 movie that has no american characters or actors in it. I have no doubt it will be a good movie, whether it will be a good WW2 war movie is another question. Let's hope he has not bitten off more than he can chew.
