Just did a quick run through on the Museum and noticed that the IJN Shinano has no Naval Ensign flying.

I hope Google can handle this... too bad if they can't.

The Shinano is a CV Type=9 vessel, and is not cloned. Should not be an issue... hmmmmm.... [sound of digging]...

OK, it took a bit of modding ingenuity, but after much thought, much hard work, and really thinking it through, I fixed it for you:



Now, some might say it's just hiding the problem under the rug, or in this case, under the surface - of the sea, but I think it's a viable solution...


Actually, that shot is from beta v.025, and I'm guessing we haven't had a flag on that particular vessel, since it seems that there isn't any place to hang one on this 3d model... However, if you look at the Wikipedia image:

Testing a patch now, flag is there, slight problems with the wake at the bow on the ship - i cannot now for some reason take and view screen shots, keep getting corruption warnings when i open the bmp file.

I'm downloading now... I'll make a new prefix and re-install SH4 and check it out and see how many of those bugs I get.

No need, I've got the "auto-polish 1950" options package. It's a little known upgrade you can get for your fleet-boat. It wasn't used much since most crews like to write all over the torpedoes anyway.
If you don't have one, then the saltwater does it for you!
In hotrodding circles it's called "patina". Very "classic".

If you would be so kind as to concentrate your first efforts in 1944 patrolling out of Midway. All Empire waters and Luzon Straits. That's where the DD spawnings have happened most often.
