My wife often gets up and says she had a brilliant/scary/bizarre dream. I pretend I didn't hear because I've learned not to ask her what happened: she will describe every last flaming detail. Just like you did

Seriously, though, when I was a kid I dreamed my Uncle John turned into a griffon, and then another one had an Egyptian mummy's head on a wall (like a hunting trophy) which started coming to life during a thunderstorm.

Maybe I eat too much cheese.
