Thanks for the warm welcome all!
Unfortunately, I'm running into problems with the PC locking up- the game doesn't run long enough to get through my manual TDC practice! Strange thing is that more graphically demanding games like Assetto Corsa and The Witcher 3 run without a hitch, while Euro Truck Simulator 2 did the same thing just last night! So it's neither universal nor an isolated problem, so I have a long night of Memtests and Prime95 ahead of me  I'll also try the 4GB memory patch, maybe my 16GB is a bit much for the game.
