My K800 Logitech key-board has the FN key between the right side Alt and Ctrl keys.

If your laptop/keyboard is anything like mine then it probably has the multi-function F keys. Mine were set up to where I had to press the fn key to use the regular F1-12. If I didn't use the fn key, they controlled brightness, volume, media playback, etc.
To change this setting permanently and be able to use F1-12 without the fn key, you will have to boot up in BIOS. It should be F10. Restart your computer and as it first boots up you hit F10 (or whatever key is right for your computer). For a better explanation, I recommend looking towards youtube (no offense meant to anyone for recommending another site).
