Ding ding ding! We have a winner in who started with the first fuel guzzling boat.

Yeah! As a Brit, I can hardly believe the HUGE cars some of you guys in the US learned to drive in. When you see a learner driver over here, he's in a small car creeping nervously along, almost on the grass verge.

I learned to drive in full size vehicles but I can't stand to drive bigger vehicles anymore.

I can zip around, squeeze through gaps and park without much effort in my Focus....but in a big truck I can't do a lot of things i do in smaller cars.

Although I do really like driving muscle/sport cars, for a daily driver, i'd much rather have something smaller.

I learned to drive in a Toyota Van.

I learned to drive a manual in about 30 minutes in a VW transporter called the Pickel cause they messed up its repaint and it looked like a pickel more than olive drab. Anyway the guy riding with me didn't want to drive so he asked me if I knew the concept of stick I said yeah. So he tossed me the keys and statered reading Stars and Stripes.

This old boat. i was driving at 13 on the farm, but this is the one I learned to drive on the road. Same colour just really badly faded. Flat head 6, 3 on the tree, standard steering and brakes. I was 15 when I stole it, twice. Dads' car, but I did take it without his permission.

^ Reminds me of a hearse but I bet they were tough as anything in those days.

It wasn't that fast a car, 80 MPH. The back seat was big enough for me at aged 11 to stretch out without my feet on the door or my head either.
