Turning it off should help - just make sure you do it from the game's GUI menu and it should stay off.
The only other way to remove the friendly blips would be to remove all friendly units from ports. Radar does not distinguish between friend and foe, in combat or in port, and there's not really any other way to work around that. All it sees is ships as a type of in-game entity, and there isn't really a way to force it to distinguish between them. |

u will always lag down some near a port, cutting it off works for me and you're so close anyway, it doesn't take long.....u can port pretty far from the docks
