The 4-gig patch only works for a 64 bit Operating System.
Win 7 32 is a nice Operating System but Win 7 64 shines compared to it.

x86 applications have 2GB of virtual memory out of 4GB (the other 2GB are reserved for the system). On x64 these two other GB can now be accessed by 32bit applications.

@ Jeff-Groves, thanks to you too, does it change anything if I put my PC in another GB of memory? Total would be 4 GB. How do you see?
If finally I have 4 GB of RAM, I can´t put the 4GB patch because my OS is 32 bits, right?

Even if you put 4GB of RAM in a 32bit OS, it will not be recognised. The maximum you can go I believe is close to 3.2GB of RAM or something similar, but even that small improvement might be good. You can just install 4GBs, and take advantage of that small improvement (it differs among PCs).
Also yes, the 4GB patch might only be installed (effectively) with 64bit windows, no matter how much RAM you have with a 32bit OS.

You will need to use the '3gig switch' in a 32 bit enviroment mate. Instructions can be found here:
