Vincent had another good role as well, in the mini-series they made of Hermann Wouk's The Winds of War and War and Remembrance 1+2.

Very good WWII novels, btw, I enjoyed reading them, interesting approach to lead the reader to all hotspots of the war and let him meet all historical figures. Lets you experience the whole war from the first sudden assaults of the Luftwaffe in Poland, to the battle in the Gulf of Leyte.
