Windows 8.1 problems

You just wait until it's installed and you're returned to the Compatibility window. you then click on "Next" (because it's installed successfully) and a blue progress bar will quickly run across at the top and a message appear to tell you that these compatibility settings have been saved. Then click on OK.

Then you would normally try to run the program but, as you say, you haven't got a launch icon on the desktop.

If you go to the main folder, which I assume has installed into Program Files (X86), there should be two little submarine icons. There should be one (the launch icon) labelled "Application" and sized 2,240KB; if there is, then a double click on this should start sh4.
