Geesh, seems in our small county of about 6 small cities got a assault rifle for every field officer.

Police are getting scary. I may have mentioned once that in the middle of the night I heard what I thought was someone kicking in my front door. I woke up in a daze, got my shotgun and came into the living room to what sounded like someone trying to get through the door. I even lifted the gun to get ready to shoot. I finally heard someone yelling police dept...so I looked out the window to see about 6 cops out there, many in full military gear. I turned on outside light and told them I was putting my gun down...only to hear yelling "he has a gun." I damned near thought I better duck....I even said....no need to shoot. My dogs were going nuts, didn't want them shot either. I open the door, but not locked iron bar door and the cop told me to keep my hands up and tried to come in jerking on the storm. Told him let me put my dogs up....got a big NO to stay where I was. I had at least two guns pointed my direction. Heck, I was in my underwear, told wife and kid to stay in the back...The cop said a 911 call came from the house. I told him not to my knowledge. I asked wife and son to come out and they didn't know anything. They wanted to come in and I told them we didn't call, nothing to do here. My wife and son both were questioned through the storm door. They even asked to search the house, in which I told them no....Seems they couldn't accept a mistake was made. They finally left.

I checked our phone records with company and there was no call made from our house to 911.

I almost dread to think what would've happened had they decided to rush through the door while I was standing there in my underwear with a shotgun.

Just never look like a wedding party, the drone will not ask you questions.
Of course, you'd be just collateral damage. You know, all in best intentions.

Aye, that's the one I was initially issued with but the last few years the issued kit was the US style carbon baton:

My personal favourite (you usually got them by 'stealth' means) was the extendable version which was easily concealed:

Default Woops! an extremely swift reverse of policy as of this AM!

^NICE! still carrying those two along with the pepper spray-and that's just the 'weak side'!?

Do the extendable versions have one side with a flat edge? The army MPs have one that has a flat edge one side which is handy for the back of the knee.

Indeed, quite useful those telescopic ones, a lot lighter too.
