First things first.
I go to 40m for this reason. To me, the most exciting thing about the game is not being the hunter; it's being the hunted. When I do combat, I do it in real time. I like having depth charges dropped around me. Being in the sub and hearing the explosions is what I like best. Trying to get away is nerve-wracking and fun. I have my sub set on silent running and I like to hear my sonar man whisper that a warship is moving closer at medium speed and at close range. Trying to listen and make a decision on which way to turn to avoid being hit is just fun. As for the six torpedoes, I'm now trying the mod MEG, and the Type IID has six.
