Default Too much of a good thing with the Super Mods?

I'm a bit lost I fear. I cannot keep up with the mods, and I've lost a sense of what is in them. Right now there are at least a half dozen comprehensive mod packs that seem to overlap, duplicate or conflict with one another.

IUB 1.3
NYGM Tonnage War
AOTD_Modpack_V2
Grey Wolves
RUB 1.45
Seawolves

Then there are custom updates, patches, and various versions of the same mod. I'm spending more time now just reading, looking through them, and trying to figure out what's in them than I am in playing game.

Is there an outline giving the pros & cons of the various master mods? Maybe someone knowledgeable could rate them, such as for Expert/Real Time Player, Average Experienced Recreational Player, Beginning Player?

Right now I'm playing the current patch version with IUB 1.2, which I modified with individual mods that I prefer. But, I must admit that I really don't understand all that IUB 1.2 does.
