I like this one at the bottom of the 2nd page "Army Convoy in Iraq Still Waiting for EOD to Arrive" That is how it goes in the military always waiting on something.

http://www.duffelblog.com/2013/12/co...eod-to-arrive/

My brother was EOD it does turn out that way sometimes they where way over worked in Iraq.

Here another pretty funny EOD one http://www.duffelblog.com/2013/08/eod-minesweeper-game/

Another pretty good one about a young Lieutenant this one sounds very accurate http://www.duffelblog.com/2013/10/2n...wrong-platoon/

The story about the lost lieutenant is very accurate, All of the new louies I met were lost. We always made it a point to instruct our newbs to salute a new LT while in the field. One of them even started crying.

Yeah it is tough to be a fresh butter bar even if they have good potential at that point they have no experience and everyone knows it.Funny that they outrank an E-7,8,9 of course they also receive much less respect than an SNCO everyone knows who the real boss is.

We always made sure that the shiny new butter bars got the proper training.
Like ...
Saluting them when they had their hands full.
Rendering a left hand salute. Always fun.
As mentioned above, getting a troopie fresh out of basic to salute them in the field. " Are you trying to get me killed, Private?!"
" Sorry, Sir. Murphy's law of combat operation #5 states: Try not to look important. The enemy may be low on ammo.
