Go check your savegame files in the documents\SH3 folder. I'm sure they are still there. And while you are there, change the foldername of your Commander's name folder. Then restart the game.

it hasn't worked chaps, sorry.

I changed the folder name to a new name but saved career didn't reappear.
I put an 'x' in front of the name and that didn't take either.

@Jimbuna: never thought of you as stupid Jim...

it looks like i'll have to start my career again - shame, those boys were coming along nicely. thanks again
