Cooking myself, mostly Italian and Chinese-European style. Döner never was my thing. The taste varies from bar to bar, but the way the meat gets prepared at factories is suspicious to me, and if you know what is done there, you easily can loose your appetite. We have had quite some food scandals that involved Döner meat factories. Beside that, the taste also does not really impress me. Not shabby, but also nothing I miss if I do not have it.

I prefer mixed Wok-food, for which I do not need any more than Ketjap Manis or Ketjap Asin, Sherry, dark Chinese soy sauce, sugar, pepper, salt, chicken soup, and some herbs and rarely used ingredients at times. Pasta. Selfmade pizza. Some Italian recipes from the book, some Chinese. And occasionally a steak. Oooh, and Gulasch, sometimes. There are maybe two dozen recipes that I really can do very well. And I fall back to just these few time and again. Neither any need to experiment, nor interest - I am no cook. I just master these few recipes, and that's it. But these recipes I really do better than anyone I know. I admit, on some of the things I cook I'm proud.

ME cousine is not my taste. It's nothing against Islam or Arabia or such, as some maybe assume now. I just do not like it by taste, and I mean taste alone.

Had a Doner last night, good stuff. RIP and thank you to the man who brought it to Europe.

He did not bring it, it is no Turkish original food (although it probably found its way from Germany to Turkey). He invented it after arriving here.

There's a saying here.
The dirtier the kitchen, the better the taste.

Believe me, that saying is wrong. Telling by past job experience.

Really? Misinterpreted the OP, my bad, well in that case, thanks to him for inventing it.

Good choices...I must admit to eating very few kebabs and even then, only after a drink or three
