AC: New Leaf:

Pulling the line prematurely when you think you have a rare fish.

For those who've never played Animal Crossing, you fish by casting in front of the fish you want to catch. The fish swims towards your bobber and nips at it. He may bite on the first nip or they may nip at it several times before biting. Larger fish are sometimes rarer.

Edit:
FUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!

Just caught one of the rarest fish in the game, and also the one with the highest value. Because my inventory is full I could swap it for something or release it. I hit release instead of swap.

Medieval Total War 2, A classic.

Having a massive egyptian empire, then getting smeared by the Timurids!

Surviving multiple Crusades, only to die to cheat hordes.

I was boss, I had a boat halfway to america, then whammo! Elephant and missile cavalry spam, endless stacks!

I endured for awhile, but it was endless... wt*

B-17 Flying Fortress The Mighty Eighth.

The A.I. pilot takes off and I decided to take over for a bit.

I accidently feathered engine 3.

Then engine 1 started smoking and I passed it off to the A.I. who didn't do much to fix it. I took over again and tried to unfeather 3, feather 1, and turn on 1's fire extinguisher....

Easier said than done.

I missed a switch and accidently cut off the fuel to 4.

I dropped like a rock.

Those Boeing engines can be a little stubborn at times, I had an engine go up on my Accusim B-17 not long after take off, it had been giving me a few strange looks on the manifold pressure, I believe it was engine two, and then about ten minutes after wheels up, BLAM, "Engine two is on fire!" Well...damn...over to the co-pilots seat, flick the extinguisher to number two, cut the fuel, and feather the prop and back around we go.
Prop pitch is...IIRC (going from memory here) on the facing edge of the throttle/engine section, so go from the throttle sticks, and it's towards you, if you hit the tail wheel/column lock then you've gone too far.
I can see it in my minds eye, got a pretty good idea where most of the controls are...I do love my Accusim B-17. Even if I do make a mess of landing the poor girl...

Accusim B-17 for FSX I'm guessing?

My F--- Moment was probably due to my "Ooooooh what does this do?" combined with actually needing to find some controls. I know where Prop Pitch is now. I just have trouble remembering the correct sequence and remembering which one is to click at the right time.

I think I'll leave most of the flying to the A.I. and I'll be a navigator or flight engineer or something.

Until I earn my wings....that is. I need to spend some time with the manual.

That's the one, if you ever do upgrade to FSX you really should check it out, it's not cheap but it's worth it.

I think the 'Ooooh, what does this do?' has resulted in the virtual deaths of many people, myself included when I found the button that ejects the rotors of the Ka-52... Needless to say, the flight characteristics took on a completely different aspect...

Haha. Well, when I figured out how to start the engines it felt great.

The problem is that when I switch it over to A.I. control for the flight, the A.I. won't do anything. The plane just sits there. I'm not skilled enought to take off yet...so I'll be letting A.I. do all of it.

Original XCOM:

Was pinned down at the landing zone by this ahole Sectoid who was in the
nearby building. Decided to throw a proximity grenade inside. Primed the grenade,
but didnt have enough TUs to throw it. Of course, the sectoid killed the guy,
whose corpse was now primed to explode as soon as any of my soldiers tried
to get off the Skyranger.

Best part? The soldier was named Bernard Layorenne.

I forget which game it was....the enemies threw mines that would go off if you went near them.

I was behind cover and one landed right next to me. I didn't move for a while...but eventually they got around my flank....

Oh well.

Red Orchestra.
I'm driving a Tiger while Raptor1 is the commander. First I manage to sink our tank in some hole in which I had to move back and forth, left and right for about two minutes just to get us out again and the moment we get over the edge...boommmmmm. Instant one hit kill and we never even saw who did it.
(close to rage quit at that moment...)
