Hell, I've had a TON of jobs I've hated. It's hard to pick just one. Aircraft Revetment is at the top of my list of worst jobs I did in the Air force, but i doubt anyone here has a clue about that, so I'll spare the story.

I know exactly what you are talking about not about constructing one personally but I have seen it done of from a I am busy doing this they are busy doing that point of view. You are right though most people have no idea what we are talking about.
It never really said what worst really meant though that could be from many different perspectives.Bad management, bad co-workers,difficult manual labor. I know one thing for sure how the management works has a huge effect I think if you have some jerk wad bossing everyone around using the threats and crap to stress everyone into doing a better job that is just hell in a hand basket.I never understand that strategy and it only makes the job harder which means a poorer quality of work.I saw this old film clip once some Procter & Gamble film showing them how to motive workers and the guy is screaming and yelling and he says something about having a heart attack if I was working with someone like that I would say please do that would make me work so much harder. Sure you have to have a boss, foreman, supervisor whatever but you get so much more with mutual respect.Something that many people in supervisory positions seem not to understand. I worked one for 3 days. That was enough for me.

When I was first in college, I had a night job as a morgue orderly at our local hospital. I actually liked it, but it involved some pretty disgusting work
Good preparation for the times when, in the military, I had to deal with picking up dead guys from aircraft accidents. At one time I wanted to be a pathologist.

I've had some really disgusting days doing custodial work, but I'm not going to mention details.
![]() But consistently, day in and day out, I hated dishroom work.

I had to do the "KP" detail a few times in basic training part of that of course involved running the dish machines I would say it was pretty lame but the pots and pans are worse because those you have to do by hand.

Don't have to deal with people. You can just quietly go about your job and no one bothers you. Maybe that's why I like doing my paperwork at home.

Then there were the scary times, when FD would call us to shut down the service lines during "working incidents". I got to one scene, parts of the house were still burning, other areas smoldering, home partially collapsed and the FD commander on the scene was looking at me with a grin. I swallowed hard and asked; "Are you certain it's safe to go in there?" He just nodded his head without the slightest change in facial expression. I had to put on hip-waders to access the basement, shut the valves and pull the meter. That was freaky. ![]()

Probably my previous security job for then atural sciences buildign of the Tallinn University of Technology. Terrible hours, some 24h shifts with no rest time and the pay was attrocious, minimum wage with no overtime. The only benefit from there was gettign my qualification which was instrumental to gettign the job I have now.
I once did a 48h, no sleep, shift there because a coworker simply dissapeared for a coupel of weeks on a drinking binge. That job almost broke me in a year. |

Today!! had run in with my supply manager because I cancelled some overtime a few days ago because I decided to go out on the piss I gave them over 24 hours notice, so I just cant see what the problem was no matter what my excuse was.
