Default dead or alive xtreme 2

I watched a 90 minutes (!) let's play of that game. Good luck the tester was rather humorous...

Here are some serious customer reviews

I'd buy it anyway, if I had the xbox.

Big Rigs Over The Road Racing

Can't link videos at work, but that is the definite worst game ever. At least the "gameplay" in the JFK assassination thing works, as does it in the desert bus driver thingy...

DOA Xtreme is like amazing bro.

No seriously, lets analyze it layer by layer

From a purely technical perspective, back in the day when physics was just getting popularized, Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 was a great technical achievement. It was like the "Crysis of Physics". At the time, Dead or Alive was a series proud of its technical virtuosity, and unrivaled in its implementation.

From a "casual" gamer's perspective, it was a game with amazing character design *ahem*. The BWH (Bust waist hip) measurement for the characters were carefully designed to invoke umm, certain emotions from players. Combined with the fact that the game is carefully designed to maximize the amount of situations where the female characters are involved in bouncing situations, you get a game that certainly appeals to male casual gamers.

For "Hardcore" gamers, DOA xtreme 2 is a xtremely good simulation. Arguably one of the best sports games of the generation. The volleyball mechanics are tight, focused, yet is "off" just enough for you to feel the nuances of the game. This is a volleyball simulator that is of high enough quality to match the best entries of Fifa, Madden, and NHL. Just slightly less *perfect* than MLB the Show, and much, much better than MLB 2k.

For Dead or Alive purists, Dead or Alive Xtreme offers a priceless insight into the inner working of the game, detailing the relationships between the characters, with a focus on their personalities and likes that you must discover for yourself if you want any chance of success. Are Kasumi and Ayane jealous siblings, or are they best friends?

From a meta perspective, Dead or Alive extreme shows that Tecmo Koei listens to their fans, and would give us what we want. They have created a piece of fan service that far exceeds the cameos and easter eggs that other developers resort. In fact, the improvements from Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball to Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 just shows that the developers listened to fan feedback, and improved on many of the aspects singled out for improvement. Hell, I've been writing letters to them repeatedly for them to include Ryu in a speedo for the next entry.

It is arguably one of the deepest and best games of the generation.
