Pretty good read so far, mostly stuff I've already learned. But it is crazy that the German Naval High Command/the ones that built an tested the torpedoes would not accept that it was their equipment that was faulty, they normally blamed the U-Boat commanders fault dues to nerves etc. Every time the Commanders were told the problems were fixed they were not fixed in reality. Look at the Operation Weserbung U-Boat Commanders reported that there were targets galore but more than half of the eels failed, it was later blamed on the part of the ocean extremely cold waters etc that caused the detonators to go faulty.
