 Background with photos of acceptable quality is always good in a thematic simulator.

I could do some 600 dpi scans, if you are interested. I guess, you need .tga, don't you ? IIRC, you could have a .tga for every single single mission. Like for the Bismarck mission. There is a beautiful shot taken when Bismarck firing broadside. Like that...
