Sry if the post is in the wrong forums... But i think i did it right!
![]() My issue.. My torpedos started to miss after a while. So i heard about the issue with setting points to the torpedo man. Looking in to the issue and found some mods. Started with installing Generic mod enabler. Read the PDF and downloaded a mod that would fix this. Installed GME in the game folder, Created a map called mods in the SH5 directory with GME, Put the torpedo mod folder in that MODS map and enabled it. Started the game (had a savefile close to an engagement of a cargoship) tested but the torpedoes still misses. Anyone know what i did wrong? ![]() |

Well.. checked the threads about this mod but nah... too confusing, There are files and to do things in the help threads thats not even in my zip... and so on.. Think i rather start a new game and dont give any points to the torpedoman.
My issue was how to get it to work, not make it harder to get it to work ![]() If my first attemp with one singel modfolder did not work i have hard time to belive this will work either since it seem to use the same mod enabel thing... Thanks any way for fast replys! great ![]() |

![]() EDIT: First of... http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=197960 At step 4 the files i supposed to open with generic dont even exist in that folder, they are in a extra folder called patches, that are not even mentioned in ur help thread, in other words, it wont look the same. Second, when i browes throu that folder with generic it still cant find the files. And yea, all i did was using the mouse. =D So... am i supposed to move all files from subfolders in the unzipped folder in the main folder? As i said there are subfolders in the patcher were the files are located that are not mentioned in the help. When i tried to open "C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\MODS\TDW_GenericPatcher_v_1_0_112_0\Patches\SH5" with the program Generic patcher at step 4 i wont find any files. But the files are there.. |

Unzip my generic patcher to your desktop. Open the folder. Run the app. Select language. Click File-->Open You'll have to specify the path to every file it needs the first time so select \Silent Hunter 5 folder Let it install new sections and continue patching Enables patches It really is that easy! |

The game crashes to windows when i try to access the "map" in game... happend 3 times in a row now after the generic patch thingy..

I'm not trying to single you out as an idiot. I'm trying to help you. The yellow triangles for the map colors are ok. Don't worry about it. Yellow triangle means caution could be a problem. A bomb sign means game will surely crash because not everything the patch requires is enabled (could be it requires patches in other files to be enabled - see the Dependencies= node). If you want to change map colors double click on the IsColor node (if it says True). That will open a color select window where you can select the color wanted. The app is a modern windows app that uses context menus. Right click on entries/nodes to see options available. Place mouse cursor over entries/nodes to get tooltip window to show. |
