You will have to look up your mainboard's specificiations. The voltage-regulator-modules (VRM's) can only handle so much current (and the resulting heat), and that is what processor you will be limited to. The manufacturer should have specs.
If they don't, then you'll have to do a bit more digging for other people's posts, and/or the actual vrm's on your mainboard. |
