You can use WB's Renown Replacement mod for GWX to get your renown points back for patrolling your assigned grid for 24 hours.....it is in the download section here on subsim.
Not sure about the rest of your question, I would like to find out where Steve did his editing as well. Kelly621 Opps....forgot to give you the link to the mod....http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=1182 Looking at what Steve posted a little closer I believe you want to edit the basic.cfg file in Data/Cfg.
