Yes, everybody is pretty excited.

A little story. A few minutes ago I called my mum. I have a hearing tomorrow morning, my wife has some meetings and the lady who assists us with the kids has an appointment with the doctor (breasts implants? who cares...) I need help and in a hurry.

My mum is anti-catholic (but somehow sent her sons to a catholic school) and have an anti church rethoric. She picked the phone in tears and she could not stop speaking about how a good days this is. I interrupted her to comment my urgency and, seconds after that, she resumed talking about Bergoglio.

This is the current mood in here.

Regards!

Bergoglio sounds like a popular choice, he is reported to have been the runner up in the election for the previous Pope.

Some not-so-nice stories surfacing about Bergoglio's complicity with the military dictatorship, such as hiding political prisoners from human rights officials in his country house. I wonder what will come of all of this.

He recounts how the Argentine navy with the connivance of Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, now the Jesuit archbishop of Buenos Aires, hid from a visiting delegation of the Inter-American Human Rights Commission the dictatorship's political prisoners. Bergoglio was hiding them in nothing less than his holiday home in an island called El Silencio in the River Plate.

I thought that's all part of the Papal application process.

Yeah, this guy seems to be another example of clergy with a colorful past.
