Personally I dont have much patience, so some times I just throw some new mods in and well it happens that there is a ctd on first start, then I move around the mods I just installed. If it doesnt help it have happend that I just take out all my mods and throw them in again in a order that looks good to me and try to play, worked last time I fixed a CTD.
My way is not very good and can create problems but I dont have any patience so what ever floats your boat so to say ![]() |

There are some tools to help .
In the mod NewUIs with TDC for SH5 by TheDarkWraith you will find the applications JSGME mod validator and SH5 Validator . Also in the mod NewUIs with TDC for SH5 by TheDarkWraith is the application Dbgview . Place Dbgview on your desktop and click on it to run before you run SH5 . Open the mod enabler with all your mods enabled and click on Tasks\save mod profile . Now un enable all your mods by clicking on disable all mods . Now click on Tasks\generate snapshot of game files . Now enable all your mods by clicking on Tasks\save mod profile . Now click on Tasks\load mod profile . Once all the mods are loaded click on Tasks\compare game files to snapshot . Save the snapshot to file . Now you can see new files the mods add and NEW,SAME,DIFFERENT . EG: data\Campaigns\CampaignProjects\Missions\Mare_Nost rum_M\HT_DFN_Patrol9.mis NEW data\Campaigns\CampaignProjects\Missions\Mare_Nost rum_M\HT_FK_Patrol0.mis DIFFERENT data\Campaigns\CampaignProjects\Missions\Mare_Nost rum_M\HT_MES_Patrol2.mis SAME Last edited by THE_MASK; 12-07-12 at 03:48 PM. |

You're computer looks to be fine to run SH5, and I don't think it's the CTD cause.
By any chance did you happen to install any mods directly out of the zipfiles, or the extracted mod folder directly to JSGME's MOD folder in SH5, and not check what was in the folder? If so the Document folders or and readmes, if they had/have them, would be installed. They can/will corrupt the mod install and cause the sim to CTD. Or if they don't cause CTD they can cause a Microsoft error message and cause the sim to shutdown when you click Send or Don't send.

sound stutter could mean sound card driver problem not the game problem. I couldn't get SH5 working at all for 2 weeks this was after going back to Windows 7 64bit from windows 8. Now its working fine with only a small mod list enabled.
Before i went to win 8 and running win7 it didn't matter how large the mod list was the game ran without any ctd. This time round with a fresh install of win7 updated to sp1, video drivers etc SH5 will crash with any mods longer than what im using Try this mod list and if it works then ctd could be from any other mods you left out, i could probably add one or two more but once its too big i'll get CTD everytime now. So i stick to the small mods trying to set it up to make the game playable for my liking. ![]() |
