Only capital ships include with FSX, are carriers. If you are thinking of getting FSX, get the Gold version.

I do have the King George , and its a beautiful model. Fun firing the guns too! I want to get the Graf Spee next. Here's a link to the KG, watch the video on this page, does great job of showing what the KG is all about.

I showed these links in an on going attempt to get VSTEP to allow third party add-ons for Ship Simulator Extremes on the Ship Sim forums. But a poster out there claimed you can't drive or operate these ships, that they are only for the AI. I wasn't sure so I thought I should ask if you can actually drive these vessels or are they just more or less AI ships that you can watch but have no controll over? I'm really getting interested in this and if they are driveable, I will most likely buy FSX gold, as I found it for a pretty good price. Thanks for any response to this.

Yes, they are driveable! You can go to the bridge too. The Graf Spee also fire torpedoes. You can operate the guns, and have spotlights that work too.

Just got FSX gold in the mail yesterday. Great game, runs great on my system with everything on ultra High. Been downloading mods and installing all last night and today. Just bought the DeltaSim Burke class DDG, and found several other driveable ship mods for free. Looks like this is going to be a beautiful relationship!
