Must be slower than 5 knots (i prefer 1 to 3 knots) and within 300 or 500 yards.
That's the best i can remember, haven't played rescue missions in years.

When you get the life ring icon to light up just click as fast as you can.
May take several clicks. You have to use the binos. I move the binos with the arrow keys and keep the mouse on the icon. in calm seas ti's not to hard but heavy seas almost imposable. Magic

Once again, I thank you for your help and feedback. I'm in Lifeboat mission and will keep trying over the weekend. I'm trying binoculars but never get any "ring" icon to appear. Just see a lot of bobbing in the water. Hope they can tread long enough for me to rescue them! Blub.
