Wow, I never knew our local drunkard hobos were that good at mimicking the sound of a whale.

But really, if you look at playing dolphins, there can be no doubt about some kind of intelligence, however you define it.

Also, never miss to see the film "The big blue", just do not watch the later-included US happy end version, but the original one.

It is also said, that the new sonar sounds emitted by submarines or skimmers, disturb whales (and to a lesser degree dolphins), and may have led to those strandings. It has also been rumoured new sonar tries to mimick whales sounds and those frequencies, for stealth reasons - at least some of the long-travelling low frequencies are being used.
The sonar anergy emitted, could certainly directly damage the sound system of those big mammals of the sea alone.

I'm not a tree hugger, but i sure do not like what 'we' do to this planet and its other inhabitants - not that we are especially shy towards our own ..

Now that I listened to it again, I'm fairly sure it says: "Hey, you stupid two legged dolt over there! Give me food! No, not fish, idiot! Real food! Caviar, red wine, steak! No, I don't want the fish, you moron! Bah!!"
