So Obama care really is a tax increase on the middle class then. It really will cost medicare patients $716 billion in spite of what the Democrats are saying?

Where are all the Liberals to tell us that Saint Obama isn't a liar?

I am a liberal and even I know what a corporate gift smells like.

I won't go so far as to call him a liar, but if the single payer plan was not blocked then you would have a system that did not cater to private companies, and kept costs down.
But now they all jack rates up in anticipation of so many new, free, mandated customers.
Sure Obama messed up, because he negotiated with "R"s to kill off the single payer system he wanted. The same system as Romneycare, that Romney was so opposed to, but was revolutionary when he instituted it.

You never sat in pain because you could not afford a doctor.

Needing doctors notes to call out more than one day, but no insurance to cover that visit, so it costs you a weeks wages to call out for more than one day.

I am glad you alone do not decide my fate. I know what it is like to be poor, and feel most of you have no bearing on what is best for the unwealthy who just want to eat,and ask nothing but a fair shake.

I'm honestly disgusted ....

Or do you have to make above 50k-75k to be worth caring for in this country? I am just trying to figure out how much I have to make to be let into the 53% so I can be treated as a man.

How does one get a fair shake? Is it handed to them? The wage has nothing to do with who gets care. How do you equate a wage with care?

Can a guy who makes minimum wage afford insurance? When paying rent is a fair struggle?

I know your answer, it is his fault he makes minimum wage.

Don't bother...

I have a limp because I broke my hip as a teenager, and was given the hurry up treatment because I was a poor uninsured welfare child...So maybe I know what the screw I am talking about, pound sand.

Why do I bother?

Never assume that anything is truly free

Sure, we don't pay for health insurance, but we pay much more in taxes.

Healthcare costs money, and you are paying for it somehow.

You know, for the majority of people, if you stash the amount of money you spend on insurance throughout your life, statistically, it would be more than the amount that your insurance company pays you!

Think about it like this: There are people out there who pay car insurance their whole life, but has never gotten into an accident or gotten their car stolen. The whole concept of insurance is based on the fact that everyone contributes, but only a small minority actually needs it (with a bit left over as profit for the insurance companies). Thus, statistically, you are better off keeping the money you pay to insurance to yourself.

But alas, people don't want to gamble with the odds, and thus, buying insurance is, in many cases, a good idea.

The link goes to "Fox Nation". They do not even try to hide it anymore ?

I guess there is not much uproar when a republican government does what the industry tells it to do ? So which way is better ?
Fox will applaud the latter, of course.

Anyway if whole North America has no better candidate than Mr Romney, there's no wonder Obama will win. Every one would

You assume someone will say its his fault he makes minimum wage. How can that be anyone's fault? I was a minimum wage earner. I empty trash and cut grass at the community pool that had membership fees. I was a tire changer for company called Mr. Tire. The only difference is I accepted these jobs because there was a healthcare plan as part of the package. A small portion was taken from my pay. It's not always about the wage.

Let me tell you about my mother in law. She too was a welfare kid. One morning she decided to make her mother breakfast. She needed a spice for cooking that was in the cabinet over the stove. Thinking to push a chair next to the stove to stand on thus being able to reach the cabinet of spices sounded great at the time. Upon leaning over the stove as she stood on the chair her nightgown caught fire. She suffered 3rd degree burns to her neck, arm and her right breast, losing the nipple. The skin under her arm fused to her skin on her chest. The doctors did much of nothing but ease the pain. She had no insurance. By the grace of God and a doctor who understood her plight of the fused arm he separated the two and cared for her until she had mobility in that arm. This was free of charge. Her breast would not be normal and she only received a prostesis at the age of 45.

I can understand the plight of the uninsured. I have a plethora of other hard luck cases I can share with you if you like. I completely understand what you are talking about. Sorry to hear about your hip.

I forgot to add she died at the age of 50. Cancer. She was insured. Received the best of care at Johns Hopkins. She died one year to the day of diagnosis. Blind, bald and less than 100 pounds. Her husband to follow the same at age 55. Both welfare kids who understood the value of the dollar. Worked hard and secured jobs that provided healthcare.

You don't know that. One cannot presume to know his financial status, and certainly not knowing his status in the past. Don't assume that everyone has had it easy; because I can guarantee you that no one has lived a charmed life.

I'm sorry Bud but that is just not true. This abortion we call "Obamacare" is the sole creation of the Democratic party. Perhaps you've forgotten that the Democrats not only controlled both houses of Congress at the time and that not a single Republican in either house voted for it?

And what has the great Romney have as an alternative? Like his tax plan, he hasn't said. If he wants people to vote for him, he better explain what he is all about. Is that asking a Presidential candidate too much?

I'd like to hear more details too but remember it's not the President who writes legislation. That's the job of Congress. Obama didn't write the "Obamacare" law. He told Congressional Democrats to write legislation for him to sign and that is what they came up with.

Same thing with "Romneycare" here in Massachusetts. That was the product of a Democrat controlled State Legislature.
