If Germany did it why can't America,
America does, ask the dept of energy the dept of transport and the dept of defence, your evil government has been using this "revolutionary" process you seem ignorant of for years.
But it is still a very inefficient alternative, though unlike the oil shale fields you seemed surprised about those snythtic methods are not so inefficient as to be only viable when gas prices are at record levels.

First sentence kinda harsh, this post has good intentions, something constructive, rather than divisive, which we are used to.

The American process is sadly ruined by corporate obstruction, using thier lobbied (i.e, the clean term for bribed) charges in Congress. Just look at the tax breaks oil corps get, and the crap that clean energy catches, for being "wasteful"

GE paid....Oh nothing! Exxon/mobil, BP? Hmmm. ok slightly more than the nothing, but too little. They spend thier money on killing/discrediting alternative energy programs. Not paying to operate in a free society.

They can always move to China, where they will be told when they can crap, and how many sheets to wipe with. Someone will step up to take these companies places, if given a fair chance by our favorites playing government.

True capitalism is dead sadly, just look at the bank bailouts, they should have croaked long ago.

So maybe I can understand Yubbas frustration here. Normally I would let you jump all over him, but he has some fair points, and good intentions.
