A bit suprised it took till 1.25pm GMT to materialise...even with the time difference.

Perhaps that's because they're too busy celebrating Independence Day to celebrate Inependence Day as well?

Happy Independence day, we may have lost a battle but we have not lost the war, let your represenatives know that you are not about to lay down to the goin's on in DC we are not ready to celebrate dependence day. I know they must be having a great day in Wisconson, rockon

When I was a kid growing up in Redondo Beach, California, we used to go down to the beach on the 4th. There would be thousands of families there, all with fireworks, and then there were two big public fireworks displays, one nearby at the Palos Verdes hills and one twenty miles away at Malibu. It was a great memory.
