you can adjust the sink rate of DC's.

You can also create a pattern, with some creative tweaking of throwers.

What you can't do, is adjust how many DC's the AI will sow overboard from a single DC rack, on any single depth charge run.

So no way to slow down the reload times of DC's.? Do the throwers have a reload time, seems I recall that, maybe position one to act like a rear roll off. I do recall someone trying to make attacks last longer, not sure what came out of it.

Seems this was done in SH3.

I do not know if this can be done with SH4's sim.cfg, but I was wondering if it is possible to use multiple values based on campaign date? I know that old SH2 could do this, but I have never heard of it in any of the AI files for SH3 or SH4. Is it possible?

No, I don't think so, never seen it, if we could it would open many doors to wonderful mods.

Agreed. The "time lock" could easily rectify some of the AI issues. It is a shame it cannot be done.

Couldn't you do this:
'41 to '43 .............play using "stock" DD's / equiptment

'44 onward...........enable "Late War Escorts" mod with enhanced DD's /equiptment

I realise this would not be quite the same as being able to manipulate every individual ship/date change over, but would make later war more of a challange.

Yea, you could make a small mod that changes the AI somewhat and install it later... but you can't change multiple values based on campaign date....that I know of.

The basic way the game increase AI based on date is with crew ratings most mods like TMO the crew ratings start out mostly competent, then increase to veteran....mods change it up, fairly easy to edit ratings with np, just takes time.

The only minor change I would key in is based off a date; June 1943-The May Incident.
