Great idea, Capt!
I will look for that mission. It should be included with OTC, right? |

No, the "AoB Test Mission" is not included with the OTC mod (I've got the download size too big as it is!). Use the link in my last post to go to the SubSim "Downloads" page for the test mission. Or, use the link I put to the OTC thread to find the same link. Mouse-over the "orange" title in the reply.
As I state in the README, you could use the test mission with the auto targeting option turned "on" while checking your actual range or AoB estimate from the telemeter/omnimeter calculation. In this way you can check your accuracy against the games computer readings, which are accurate when using "auto targeting". When your calculations match (within reason) what the auto targeting readings for range and AoB are, you're ready to use manual targeting. As you learn what to do, don't forget to use the "pause" feature while taking the telemeter readings, and using the Omnimeter. Take your time while learning, after all the real life sub had 12 to 15 men in the "Fire Control" party to do the job the games manual targeting feature expects 1 gamer to do. You can use the test mission as-above to check your Telemeter/Omnimeter skills, or just blaze away when the first target comes within range.
