prediction and the Notepad method.

I say prediction because the game is horribly predictable on the targets speed. A report of slow = 7 knots, mediem = 8 or 9 knots, fast is usualy around 21 knots. Most fast moving DD's are either 14 or 25 knots.

I also have the handicap of having to stop to get my range and AOB as close to a 90 degree as possible. Getting abeam isnt a problem if you correctly plot out a position report.

And if im in doubt, i sometimeshave the WO double check me (espeicaly on high value targets), so sometime i cheat

Thats the beuty of convoys, or other formations. they're all on the same track, all thats required is some minor adjustments.
