I had that happen a couple of times in the Solomons while refitting at Tulagi. The Bettys used to raid there regularly and I seemed to get caught in the fray more than a couple of times. Of course, I could dive to escape the onslaught but would always feel guilty about not pitching in and contributing to the defense.

I survived, however.

haha Yeah I got Caught in an Air Raid on Luzon once.Scary Stuff.Had to decide wether to dive and ignore it,or fight it out.I decided to stick around and fight.

I caught a Bomb for my Trouble,but I let that Jap know I sure didn't Appreciate him Scratching my paintjob...and putting a hole in my deck!
