One of the few remakes I enjoyed was Peter Jackson's King Kong in 2005. That's mostly because the 1976 remake was such a travesty. How Jeff Bridges' career recovered I'll never know.

For me Jeff made his comeback from King Kong with The Big Lebowski. He made Dudes look cool.

You can't replace Arnold for another muscle bound actor it wouldn't work imo and Arnold is too old for the remake. At least it ain't Tom Cruise.
