The Port and Starboard on the AoB dial refer to the target ship not your boat.
If it is coming from the right to left you will set the AoB dial to Port (left) that is the side of the target you'll see. Target. <--------- Your boat is here ^ You are looking at the left side, set the AoB to 90° Port. Magic
