my friend has just been round and he likes it too and he isnt interested in the subject matter.

Parents and children will always think the other is weird for something or other. It's the way of the world. My step-son thinks I'm weird as I've recorded quite a few old films recently (Tora, Tora, Tora. Operation Crossbow. We Dive at Dawn. Above us the Waves. Etc.), and I think he's weird as he'd rather watch some other films.
