I mostly got DVD sets of some TV series but from a submarine standpoint I got

Surface and Destroy: The submarine gun war in the Pacific by Sturma

Silent Killers: Submarines and underwater warfare by Delgado

More books for my "I gotta read these one of these days" book pile.

Anybody planning on getting anything in the Sales? Think I'm gonna have a look for a new monitor, had this one since 2006. So I may be browsing in glorious Technicolor by the end of the day

To be fair, they were five separate presents from people

Only my daughter remembered to accompany the rum with a litre bottle of Schweppes Peppermint Cordial

Plantronics 777 7.1 headset
A mug with the words 'I (heart) spreadsheets'
Something to shove in my shoes to take away the smell

and that's about it.

Oh, the wife and I got £100 giftcard from her father to a shop we never go in.

Off to Meadowhall tomorrow with the wife and kids, wish me luck.

For £139 I'd have expected a new one

I haven't got a great deal of money, but the kids have a bit, I'll just be happy if I can browse anything electrical/games without hassle. Oh, and a nice coffee would be great too.

Agreed....Christmas is mostly for the kids, as long as they are happy then I'm usually well pleased

Nice presents everyone Thought I should break my inactivity on posting and say something...

Didn't get anything related to submarines or such but I got some... interesting stuff and awesome stuff:

  • Candles and glass cups for them (seriously, I have too many candles already and no lighter )
  • 3DS (it's cool and all but the 3D feature does kill your eyes after a while... I prefer my Wii if I want long hours of playing XD)
  • Nerf Gun Vortex Praxis (now I just need more Nerf Gun people and we can have a Nerf War )
  • Apron (I already got an apron... an Aussie flag one )
That's about it from all my family. From friends, I got a nice picture from Oberon and will be getting a Zoid model kit from his Fiancee, a Bio Volcano. (I'm an avid Zoid model collector and really enjoy building, if you're really curious, my collection photos are halfway down this page http://deathyszoids.weebly.com/photography.html I have a lonely F-111C waiting to be built but I'm having paint colour issues)

Didn't do much on Christmas Day, half the day, it was playing on OMGPOP with my friends. We had an epic battleship match.
